I had high expectations after reading a post about this place from 2010 (HERE). It has had a makeover and moved to a higher floor in the complex. Sadly the Centipede has gone but most of the games did work AND they only took 10ps (uprights) and 20ps (cocktails).
Entrace to the 'Games Lounge' Defender was glitching on the left side of the monitor and the joystick did'nt seem to like going down. Gauntlet was fun, worked fine. Galaxian had a 10p jammed in the coin mech so sadly coud'nt play it. Asteroids cocktail would'nt take coins. Donkey Kong cocktail working fine. Pacman cocktail was cool. Frogger cocktail seemed to be the girlfriends favourite. ![]() Street Fighter 2 ![]() Space Invaders! Point Blank 2 and a Mame cab are also there to play. Lots of game consoles to play also! I would highyly reccommed visting if your in the Bradford area (or taking a detour on the way to RGPs like us!) ![]() |

Some cracking cabs there and I really like the idea of this 'exhibit'.
Shame some weren't accepting coins. |

That looks worth a visit, nice to see a proper Street Fighter cab too, I wonder where they found that.

If I make it to RGP, then I most likely will be coming via Manc airport to Blackburn. This justifies the early flight. Last time I was there the arcade was closed for refurb.

Where is this place? Are the machines fully original or repro artwork, PC inside etc?

The machines seemed all orginal, only one that might have had repro art was Street Fighter (as the sticker was peeling off). Since being I found out who provides the machines... ARCADE WAREHOUSE! This explains why the Defender has'nt been fixed since the first report posted in 2010. |

I made the trip there on the way back from Leeds back in February. The general condition of the machines was disgusting to say the least. After a 45 minute detour to get there I had a 10 second game of a completely unplayable defender, 1 game of asteroids on the cocktail and returned to the car after no more thana 10 minutes in the place.
Good that they have tried to showcase the era, but they should be ashamed of the condition of the cabs.

Just got back in from a day out hear. its a super place with lots to do. But if you Are only going for the arcade stuff and are more than an hr away its not worth it. but if you are like me and are fascinated with old games consoles old tvs and tv cameras. its super and worth going to see. i took both my kids and the wife and they all had a good time.
Word to the wise take some 10p and 20ps as all of the games run on one or the other. Altho on the ground floor reception are more than happy to help with change. I took some pictures but most of them have my kids in or are of the old tv and the like Alan

Digging up this old thread here but I never realized the last time I was in Bradford and popped into the museum to use the toilet and thought they had been removed as they were no longer on the ground floor they were actually upstairs.
Anyway I was there today and they are in a sorry state and were being abused by kids who really didn't care what they were (I mean games to actually play not meaning should be wrapped in cotton wool or anything), most of the t molding had been pulled off Galaxian and it was generally tatty, the Space invaders looked like it had been attacked by err space invaders, the cocktail tables were all scratched (had been new glass fitted when they were put in) all just generally grubby and full of greasy fingerprints. I spent about 30 mins in the museum as it's quite interesting with all the vintage tv equipment and stuff on display and a few exibits you can use like spinning animation wheel thingys and stuff but didn't really spend too much time where the arcade games were as there were too many noisy kids unlike the last time I went and it was all retro-gamers having fun.
