Great article, I remember the place well, both pre and post Sega.

You should contact Paul Williams from Sega through his LinkedIn account and see if he can give you some more insight. He was the GM there and would know a lot of the history and politics behind the scenes. I've always got on well with him when I worked in the industry and found him to be a very approachable person, after all he's just a boy that done well from the Welsh valleys.

My favourite was a place down one of the main streets, maybe tot crt rd or ox st. I think it was called casino. Only had a few arcades. Down the back on the left,it had 4 or so big sit downs with massive screens. i remember sf the movie and sf zero being in there around 1995. tekken3 later, it always had the big new game.

Casino was great back in the 90’s when it used to get the new games, pretty sure it was a Neo Geo test centre,, had games first.
I will make no soup.
